Aspectos positivos: Good food and the people are very kind there. Drinks are nice. Hostel is clean

Aspectos negativos: There should be more shadow-places on the rooftop (parasol,plants or whatever) and why are the loungers only on top next to the jaquzzi without any parasol or something...you get grilled there. Would be nice to have more places to lay and enjoy!

Aspectos positivos: Really great location in Medellin, perfect to wander round el poblado. Great rooftop pool and terrace and really nice rooms.

We really enjoyed are stay, overall good experience!

Aspectos positivos: Very clean, great location and super friendly staff.

Aspectos negativos: No aircoditioning and the smell of the kitchen came through the ventilation in our room. Also very noise sensitive from the bar uprtairs.

Great stay overall

Aspectos positivos: Had a good stay at Masaya, the staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast is good but small portions. They have one of the biggest hostel rooftops in Medellin. The pool water is clean and the hot tub is amazing. I would definetly stay here again

Aspectos negativos: Drinks at the rooftop bar are overpriced, if you're on a budget I would recommend going to the liquoreria a block away. Dorm rooms don't have AC and they get very hot, you only have a small fan in your bunk bed. The mattress was hard as a rock. The shower had mold stains all over the roof. Also there's only 1 bathroom per dorm and there's 8 beds in each dorm Not the best place to socialize and meet new people, everyone is minding their own business and the rooftop is open to people from outside of the hostel. I also came across 2 or 3 working girls, you can easily spot them because they're there by themselves at the rooftop having a drink and waiting to get approached by someone. PRO TIP: You can also find cheaper Airbnb private rooms with AC and washer / dryer in the area if you don't want to stay in a hot dorm room with 7 other people 😉

Aspectos positivos: The location is very nice. It is a big building with a big number of guests. Everything was nice, and the food was great. Events and activities are cool. The pool was nice.

Aspectos negativos: Just one thing I felt was the food at the restaurant is good but has less options. Most days the staff miss to provide the drinks with breakfast that is included in the price.

Good stay

Aspectos positivos: Rooms were a great size! We had a king bed in our private room which was very luxe! We also had a TV in our room which had access to Netflix. Breakfast was included in our stay and this was great. Location was good, a 5-10 minute walk to lovely restaurants and cafes and a 10-15 minute walk to bars and clubs.

Aspectos negativos: Some nights music didn’t stop till 1-2am. Earplugs were life savers. Window didn’t have any fly screen so wasn’t overly keen on having it open

Very cool hostel with amazing roftop

Aspectos positivos: Everyone was super helpful and the contact via WhatsApp was very easy. The rooftop bar was very good.

Aspectos negativos: The shower doors were quite noisy and hard to pull closed.

Amazing Structure

Aspectos positivos: Very good structure, nice rooftop, rooms very comfortable.

Aspectos negativos: The rooftop view is amazing, but people weren't very excited to have fun and make friends. Perhaps more exciting activities would improve the atmosphere.

Aspectos positivos: Everything, this hostel is absolutely amazing. We had the most relaxing experience here. It is expensive but you get what you pay for.

Aspectos negativos: It would have been nice if there would have been more activities at the roof top.

A very solid accommodation for Medellin, does everything you need it to and the bar is amazing.

Aspectos positivos: Great location, good vibe, great bar which is amazing to relax in and well priced.

Aspectos negativos: Nothing really, was really good. Only issue we had was we booked an extra night but couldn’t stay in the same room which was a bit of a faff. There’s a big difference between the quality of a double room and a superior double room, so if you want air con, space and a balcony go with superior. Staff weren’t super friendly, expect breakfast where Leidy was amazing and brightened up our mornings!
