Sonata 44 Hotel Laureles

Aspectos positivos: I think was great even though i only purchased it once as i am not a breakfast person. The staff were absolutely lovely warm, welcoming and accommodating. The room was well maintained room service was on time and visited daily. The location was great quiet and peaceful not noisy at all.

Sonata 44: Quiet Comfort with a Five-Star Shower

Aspectos positivos: A surprisingly excellent little spot in Laureles. Tucked away in a quiet, leafy neighbourhood that’s somehow both relaxed and within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and the metro. The room was simple but comfortable – and the shower? Absolute bliss. Hot, high pressure, and exactly what you want after a long day navigating hills and humidity. Would happily stay again.

Aspectos positivos: I loved how clean everything was. The staff was kind and attentive.

Aspectos negativos: The door of the bathroom was not working perfectly and the base of the bed was a bit noisy.

Aspectos positivos: The staff, the location, all is new inside the rooms. The rooftop restaurant was good but with a small menu and the café restaurant for breakfast was good too but very poor menu as well.

Aspectos negativos: Rooms are not well isolated for the noise coming from the outside. I only spent 1 nigth in a regular room (#606) and the noise woke me up at 4am as traffic started at that time. I asked to be moved to another room with a better noise isolation and the only option I got was to upgrade my reservation to a front room with balcony as those are located the more far from the big avenue st the back. I got room 801 for 8 nights and they charged me the fees for the upgrade which ended up costing me almost the double that I budgeted for this holiday...

BEST PLACE TO STAY IN LAURELES

Aspectos positivos: The location is terrific, only a few minutes to Calle 70, and a short walk to Primer Parque y Segundo Parque and related restaurants & bars. Not to mention some great places immediately around the hotel. Room was super comfortable with everything required and also great variety of breakfast options. Highlight for me are the staff - everyone is so friendly and caring and proved the point when I had an unexpected medical episode. The staff could not have done enough and really made me feel looked after literally like I was surrounded by friends for which I am so indebted.

Aspectos negativos: Nothing to change, Sonata 44 will become my new go to on Medellín

Aspectos positivos: Good location, very helpful staff, compact rooms but good enough for me

Aspectos negativos: My daughters room was above mine and didn't have a mini bar/ fridge, no clothes rail and her desk chair was a manky plastic garden chair

Aspectos positivos: I was very much pleased with almost everything, but I would like to highlight the attention and cordiality given by the staff, especially in regards to suggestions on what to do, where to go in Medellín and beyond, etc. Thank you very much :)

Aspectos negativos: For the most part, everything went perfect. If I had to point some inconvenients, I would say that the pipes are very loud, so when someone nearby is taking a shower, the noise can get extremely uncomfortable. Additionally, since the painting on the restaurant entrance has faded off with time, the restaurant's schedule is unclear unless you look it up online, or ask at the hotel. It is a tremendously minor detail, but hopefully it can be fixed so it does not lead to more confusions.

Great convenient but quiet location

Aspectos positivos: Comfortable room in a quiet safe location close to the metro and both busy and quieter restaurants. Staff at the hotel were helpful and everything was fine

Aspectos negativos: The breakfast! It was in an adjoining cafe - good coffee but terrible service - slow and unwelcoming. There didn't seem to be a system. The food was ok but a bit cold

Fabulous hotel in a great location!

Aspectos positivos: This is a fantastic hotel in a fabulous location with a great choice of freshly prepared breakfast options. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The security is also good with cameras on all floors as well as in the lift!
