Hacienda Cafetera La Gaviota

Aspectos positivos: This is just a paradise! We had 2 great days at the Hacienda. The hoasts are super nice, speak English (our Spanish wouldn't have been good enough to understand all the interesting coffee facts ;)) and we loved the coffee tour and tasting we did. The rest of the day's we spend with walking around the farm or just relaxing at the terrace and reading books. The perfect place for a 'coffee break' in paradise.

Aspectos positivos: Great place to relax, the owners are very helpful and flexible. They provide also delicious lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. There is a small Shop in walking distance to the property. Beautiful landscape, birds and hummingbirds around the place. Jorge and Carolina are true professionals with a huge knowledge and you can ask them anything related to the Coffee traditions.

Aspectos positivos: A really amazing place for anyone looking for a more authentic stay in Colombia's coffee region. Carolina and Jorge were very nice and welcoming and the place was perfect for what we were looking for. Really good, traditional breakfast every day, beautiful view from the window of our place and lots of peace and quiet. Jorge and Carolina also did a tour of the coffee plantation with a coffee tasting session that was really enjoyable. Hope to stay here again!

A Less Commercial Coffee Finca Experience WIth Great Hosts

Aspectos positivos: An historic, rustic, coffee finca at the end of the road with great views. The personal touches and friendliness of the owners. The complimentary tour of the finca and coffee making process. Being able to wander around the farm past the growing coffee, avocado, platanos, papaya, citrus etc. Enjoying a cold beer with an evening meal prepared by Carolina whilst relaxing in the communal space at the finca. Being entertained by the antics of the 3 friendly dogs - Frost, Niña and Milagros!

Aspectos negativos: The finca is in the middle of very lush countryside, and so it's definitely worth bringing a mosquito net, repellent or similar if you hate the beasties as much as we do! As other reviews have stated, it's worth planning your route to the finca in advance. Only the last few km involve gravel roads, but that part is a little slow and bumpy.

Perfect verblijf in een prachtig domein

Aspectos positivos: Zalige ligging in een rustig domein van 10 ha met koffieplantage en vele andere gewassen waar je volledig tot rust komt. De eigenaars zijn echt super, koken wat je wil en wanneer je wil , proberen alles om het naar je zin te maken en hadden zelfs mijn busticket voor mij in de stad gekocht. Ook de koffietour was fantastisch.

Aspectos positivos: El lugar increíble, los dueños son super atentos, nos hicieron sentir como en nuestra casa, La degustación de cafe y el tour no tiene desperdicio, mil gracias.

Aspectos positivos: Aunque estuvimos poco tiempo, nos encantó poder disfrutar de la Hacienda Cafetera La Gaviota. Hospedarte aquí te hace conocer más la zona y disfrutarla viviendo una experiencia mucho más bonita. Jorge y Carolina son unas personas fantásticas que te hacen sentir como en casa al igual que te hacen conocer su cultura y manera de vivir. Si estás por la zona, no puedes perderte hospedarte por aquí.
