Beautiful special stay on the water!

Aspectos positivos: Beautiful cabins on the lake, really cool to be able to rent a jetski from your own personal dock. Food was nice and rooms well equipped and comfortable!

Aspectos negativos: Hot tub wasn’t not hot which was a real shame, we tried two days in a row. Better soundproofing would be good as bathroom has a door out to the outside with no sound proofing. Not hotels fault but lake can be noisy in day.

Aspectos positivos: Everything is perfect . The food , the view , the room .

A lovely stay, slightly spoiled by the two days of noise from the generator cleaning out the drains.

Aspectos positivos: The rooms were outstanding with beautiful views over the lake. Staff friendly and very helpful. A lovely restaurant, food was great. A very comfortable bed and pillows. Very tranquil on my last day.

Aspectos negativos: My first two days were not as tranquil as there was a generator near to my room going all day until 6.30pm on my second day which was very noisy. This was work being carried out on their land. It would have been better if the hotel placed me in a room further away from the work as they were aware that this work was being done and the noise that was being made. Location, there is nothing close by that you can walk to.

Aspectos positivos: I didn’t know that I’m dreaming or it’s real🥹 it was absolutely amazing experience🤩🤩 Definitely I will be back there and recommend to everyone!!!

An expensive getaway that’s worth the investment

Aspectos positivos: Exactly as in the pictures, stunning interior design and service. Food is great as well

Aspectos negativos: Unfortunately the lake in front has a lot of boats playing loud party music the whole day. It sounds like it’s right on the balcony. So it’s not as relaxing as we were hoping it to be.

Aspectos positivos: Excellent breakfast. Lots of options. Amazing location. All the food we had was really good. Great option not having meals including breakfast delivered to your cabin at no extra cost. Nice to use kayaks at no extra cost

Aspectos negativos: Staff were friendly once we engaged with them. But they weren’t overly welcoming. Would have been nice to have tea/coffee provided in room especially as a kettle was provided.

Fantastic place with great views

Aspectos positivos: Wonderful hotel w/individual cabins and great views. One of my all-time favorite hotels - luxury, but not too much, great services (in particular we loved the fireplace on the porch :-) It really is a very special place with great views, lovely cabins, good service - value for money: certainly!

Aspectos negativos: Two things: 1. the noise level on the lake is unbearable during weekends - in particular Saturday and in particular the hours from 4-7 pm: tons of tour boats (with bad live singers and loud loud music), water sports with youngsters, who go too fast, so their girlfriends can scream, drunk parties with extreme pumping music and loud parties. We were going nuts...... We had a cabin with a lovely view but unfortunately also full exposure to boats and activities on the lake. Ask for a cabin which is QUIET (I had done that but apparently not with capital letters) - could be numbers 11 or 13, which are facing a different direction and far from most of the lake activity. You will still be able to hear the noise, but not to the extent we did. Do not accept cabins close to \

Aspectos positivos: This is the best place where we stayed in Colombia. It is pricy but definitely worth it if you are looking for a nice accommodation with a beautiful view, nice facilitaties, a restaurant on the site with good food (best breakfast we have had in colombia) and very friendly staff, all of them. The bed was really comfortable. It has everything you're looking for.

Aspectos negativos: There was some mold on the walls in the shower and it seems the drainage system was not working so well.

Aspectos positivos: The setting was absolutely beautiful. The accommodation feels very private and the lake views are stunning. Staff couldn't do enough for you.

Aspectos positivos: Every part of La Pausa is perfect. The cabanas are private, have a beautiful view and are curated so well. You have everything you need for a luxurious, relaxing stay. We loved not ever needing to leave the cabana thanks to the extremely attentive staff and room service. A little tip if you’re arriving on the bus from Medellin - you can get off the bus in El Penol, which is much closer to the property than Guatape. Don’t bother reading any more reviews, just book it. You won’t regret it. We wish we could have stayed longer :).
