Finca-hotel Montecarlo Guatape by Hope

Aspectos positivos: It was a straight forward self check-in, no hassles. The host is at your disposal, they ensure your comfort and enjoyment of the property. We had a beautiful morning waking up to a wonderful vista of the lake and el Peñol. If I have to say this outright, it was the host that made it feel very welcoming (and they weren't even there physically). The host maintained good communication and clear, easy to follow instructions.

Aspectos positivos: Nice Finca quiet, a little bit outside the center. You can easily walk into the village. You can relax in the garden and can use a well equiped kitchen, including a filter for fresh water.

Aspectos negativos: The place misses a little bit heart. Some things are run down.

Peaceful paradise

Aspectos positivos: The room was spacious with suficient furniture for all your things. The bed was huge and comfortable. The hot shower was great. Everything was clean. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. The washing machine was already mentioned in many reviews, but there is also a dryer, which is so convenient. The terrace with the hammocks has a fantastic view. Usually there was no one around, so I felt sonetimes a bit lonely, but the people were very nice and helped you with all your needs quickly (you could always send messages). Value for money was exceptionell.

Aspectos negativos: It would be nice having some restaurants close by (not something the hotel can change), but at the end walking to the centre is not too far.

Aspectos positivos: Nice designed room, comfortable double bed, reliable hot shower, nice terrace with great views. Lina was helpful and welcoming when I arrived. I enjoyed the walk into town and back but others might find it too far from the centre.

Aspectos negativos: I found dragging the heavy main gate back and forth to access the premises a chore as I'm not young and strong anymore.

Nice place outside of town.

Aspectos positivos: The rooms were nice and the place had a great view of the rock! The host was very responsive and accommodating, we could use the washing machine which was great. They had a Netflix account to use on the TV which was a nice touch.

Aspectos negativos: The place is a little out of town but walkable. Unfortunately it’s not very quiet as you can hear the road next to the house and the barking dog next door. Also there were two families staying and you could hear them early in the morning both in their rooms and when they came to the common area. The kitchen is useable but quite small for everyone. The microwave also almost fell out as the shelf it is on is sloping.

Aspectos positivos: Great place with super helpful host. The place is a 10 min walk away from the buzzle of Guatape center with a lovely terrace looking over the embalse and el peñol.

We loved it and we can totally recommend this accomodation.
