Aspectos positivos: I had a great stay in Ivan's guesthouse, it is a beautifully restored old house in Medellin in Prado, far away from El Poblado but still within walking distance of many tourist attractions and lots of great local bars and restaurants. Ivan was also really helpful and gave me loads of good tips for Medellin as well as elsewhere in Colombia. Excellent value for money overall with great breakfasts, highly recommended!

Awesome place!

Aspectos positivos: It's a utterly beautiful and big house in the historic centre of the city. Truly a welcoming host who's always happy to assist you in any way he possibly can. Ample room to relax (or work) and even a top terrace overlooking the city. The room I was in was perfect with a comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and very good shower with hot water. I definitely would recommend this place. It's authentic, quietly located and nevertheless pretty close to the center (10 tot 15 minutes walk). In short: a home away from home.

The house is a jewel which was renovated with thought through details- giving a unique experience. A place you cannot find a second time with amazing terrace and the best view. Great stay in a fascinating part of town

Aspectos positivos: Beautiful period property that's been carefully restored in an interesting area that most tourists don't visit (I certainly saw very few). I enjoyed seeing the architecture (don't miss walking down Calle 50 to Centro - full of old houses that would have been THE place to live in the 40's and 50's I guess. Friendly staff, I enjoyed it.

Aspectos negativos: Not a criticism, but don't visit here if you're the nervous type. Centro is full of noise, crowds, and every manner of street life. If, like me, you want to see all sides that make up Medellin, then stay here. Wander around for hours (without valuables on display) and marvel at the madness. Then walk the 10 minutes back to the tranquility of the hotel (it's quiet). Enoy your stay - I certainly enjoyed mine.

Aspectos positivos: Everything here was so charmingly furnished, and the atmosphere the host created was really lovely. He was always ready to treat us with coffee, was up for a nice conversation and gave us a lot of useful tips. Would definitely stay at this place again on my next trip to Medellín! 😀

Agradable estancia

Aspectos positivos: Todo estaba muy limpio, es una casa muy linda y agradable, la habitación estaba amplia y cómoda, Victor es muy amable y pendiente todo el tiempo de nosotros, el desayuno estuvo muy rico, fue fácil llegar desde cualquier punto de la ciudad y se puede llegar caminando al centro. Sin duda volveremos a este alojamiento.

Aspectos negativos: La habitación es un poco caliente.
