Hostal prado colonial

Aspectos positivos: Breakfast not included but all the facilities in the kitchen. Near to Hospital metro, small restaurants and shops/supermarket. The location is a hidden gem. This old part of Prado is beautiful. Felipe obviously loves what he does as he is always available and smiling and on hand for any guidance and advice needed. Hot water for the shower; gas hob for cooking (rarely as mainly ate out). Fantastic garden within the walls where the table and chairs are set for eating/relaxing. So quiet and peaceful location. Bed was great. Lots of cats sleeping and enjoying the garden. Incredible \

Aspectos negativos: For the price we paid, we can have no complaints. What we needed was there. A base for a week or two to explore the local area and beautiful properties and come and go.

Aspectos positivos: I hardly ever leave reviews but this place, especially the amazing host Felipe, deserves it! Felipe is one of the kindest people we have ever met. During our 4 month travels, we haven’t met anyone as giving, respectful and kind as Felipe. Not only did he help us with anything we needed (including hanging and folding our laundry!), we also spent a traditional December festivity evening with him. We lit candles and he prepared a lovely coke and rum cocktail for us. He also gave us yummy Colombian sweets to try, all out of kindness. These are only a few of the many things Felipe did for us. About the location, it is in a fairly quiet, non-touristic neighbourhood, but it’s safe and very close to a big metro station (Hospital), which will take you anywhere. Felipe, if we ever return to Medellin, we will 100% stay with you! Thank you so much again for everything (and give the 8 cats lots of hugs from us too). ❤️

Good hostel experience with a really lovely host

Aspectos positivos: The biggest positive was Felipe, the owner. Lovely guy; very welcoming and always helpful. I think we lucked out and got their nicest room Location worked very well for us. Facilities are pretty basic, but all the critical things worked. There are a lot of cats which might impact some guests

Aspectos negativos: The mattress cover was very noisy

Your place to stay close to the city

Aspectos positivos: Old fashioned, amazing staff, like living with a family. Felipe is an amazing host: kind and helpful.

Aspectos positivos: Absolutely lovely place! The owners are beyond friendly and welcoming - they showed us the whole place and told some interesting stuff :)) The room was clean, big & even had a warm shower!! We enjoyed it & would come back!! Thank you :)

Felipe is an incredible host and a super lovely welcoming man! He helped me practise my Spanish and his English is excel

Aspectos positivos: Excellent location and close to the metro and metro plus. Very big kitchen and Felipe let us use his coffee each morning. Lots of space to relax and very cool inside

Great value but basic

Aspectos positivos: The owner is super friendly and accommodating helping at at arrival and letting us stay the last day in the room as well. Never had such friendly hosts. The value is also great. You have a much more authentic stay here than in a tourist neighborhood

Aspectos negativos: As other reviews outlined the accommodation is basic and not very comfortable. The bed is quite hard, the curtains completely see through and the neighborhood is more rough. We made do with it and the host helped with using the other bed which was better so we had a good time

Medellin 的友善傳統住宿

Aspectos positivos: Felipe run the guesthouse by himself, he is friendly and nice guy. Cats are so so so cute, we loved them so much. We had a great stay here. Our room we booked is big, and there are hot shower, water pressure is enough. House is big and tradicional close to metro station.

Oasis of calm in the city

Aspectos positivos: We had the most wonderful time staying at hostel Prado colonial, Felipe went beyond being a brilliant host and became a friend. The hostel is such a peaceful oasis of calm within Medellin with beautiful cats to keep you company! It is in a good location close to the metro and a supermarket. We loved it so much we came back again- I can’t recommend it enough!
