Beautiful and relaxing stay but difficult to get to and poor communication from staff
Aspectos positivos: The location is stunning, even if not easy to get to. I swam in the lake and took a kayak out. The restaurant staff are very nice and the food is really great. The room was spacious and had a wonderful view. In general, it was a lovely place to relax for the weekend. I would go again, and would recommend it, now that I have it clearer what to expect and how to get there - but first-timers should be aware of the below.
Aspectos negativos: The communication about the transport was genuinely terrible. I ended up speaking to different people on the whatsapp because they would leave my questions not fully answered and then someone else would pick up the communication and I'd have to explain my question all over again. It's basically impossible to get out of the hotel without paying quite a lot for a private boat, but that was not explained clearly - when I asked if the hotel was accessible by road, I was told yes, but then given a whole host of reasons why it wasn't, and it turns out the road is actually closed so it's not possible at all. It's fine if you want to go there and stay there, but if you want to e.g. get out and see El Penol then you can do one way free but you would have to pay $150,000 for the return. I think they also need a standard message about how to get there from the airport, and they need to be able to provide a hotel shuttle at a reasonable price. They put me in contact with the doorman who put me in contact with his cousin or something, who wanted to charge me $600,000 to bring me from the airport - it should cost no more than $250,000 which is what I paid in the end. Figuring out how to get there was genuinely stressful, which put a dampner on the trip. On the booking page it also says that it's going to charge you before travel, so I thought that I had already paid, but you actually pay on arrival. In summary, the communication needs to be much more transparent.

Aspectos positivos: To be honest, our stay at Bethel Lozana – Guatapé was wonderful. The room was very cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated, making it feel warm and comfortable. The view was absolutely stunning 🤩, and the peaceful surroundings made it the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. It’s an ideal spot if you’re looking for tranquility, fresh air, and breathtaking scenery. I would definitely stay here again!

Aspectos positivos: Amazing location, beautiful views, isolated and quiet place to relax. Unique ecohotel, we had room with jacuzzi and sauna and huge bed with balcony overlooking the reservoir.
Aspectos negativos: Food - small portions, some tasty, some average. Expensive for what it is in Colombia. Also breakfast included is not great, have to pay extra for other options. Staff - most were helpful and friendly. However this place severely lacks a general manager host to give a proper welcome to the hotel. Also nobody speaks English.

Luxurious experience
Aspectos positivos: This is a once in a lifetime type experience from the arrival via speedboat, welcome cocktail and mind blowing hotel which you need to see to appreciate. Staff were excellent. Food was very good. Room was amazing!!!

Unforgettable
Aspectos positivos: Everything was perfect, from Santiago the Manager to all the personnel everybody was very kind and helpful. The food was simply delicious. The place is incredible, unforgettable in its conception and design. Eearly in the morning we measured 13 db - it was so quiet! We had a lot of fun in an unforgettable place. The pictures are all real!

Aspectos positivos: El lugar es mágico, un concepto bastante exotico, la comida estaba deliciosa y una atención muy personalizada. La habitación era bastante amplia y muy cómoda, con todo lo necesario para un excelente descanso. Habia wifi por todo el hotel y buenas actividades

Aspectos positivos: La clama del lugar. Es un lugar muy único y muy hermoso. El personal muy amable y las instalaciones muy limpias y adecuadas para el lugar donde está ubicado.
