Old world charm, a very nice place to stay

Aspectos positivos: The converted mansion and abundant antiques on display provide for a wonderful atmosphere of old world charm. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the dinner menu was excellent, as was the included breakfast. There is no on site secure parking for a motorcycle - but the recommended location three blocks away was excellent, with a very conscientious attendant with a police station across the street - with very friendly police staff.

Aspectos negativos: I paid for the room on arrival but reception staff apparently weren't aware that I had a reservation through booking dot com so a few days later, I received a note indicating that I hadn't showed up for my reservation! That was somewhat disconcerting, but it did get straightened out.

Beautiful but very, very noisy

Aspectos positivos: I liked everything except for one thing. The staff is lovely, the historic building of the hotel is stunning and the location right at the Parque Central - most of the time - is convenient and fantastic. The parque became the extension of my room during my stay. The room is simple but in style with the rest of the building. I found the bed to be very comfortable. My room had a (tiny) balcony facing the square with wooden blinds (no glass window). The private bathroom was tiny but very modern and had a great shower. Breakfast in the little café downstairs was very good but I would have loved to get some fresh fruit, too. Parking the car was included and very handy.

Aspectos negativos: Just one thing, but a biggie: the room was way too noisy until late at night and then again from 5am. Even earplugs didn’t help. Of course I knew that being right at the main square does have a cost, but it was simply too much, three nights with very little sleep. This was definitely the noisiest room I have ever had anywhere! Sound-proof windowns would be terrific but from what I was told, that’s not possible. I could have moved, but after two nights I thought I’ll just brave the last night. I would always come back, but only if I can get a room facing the roofed courtyard with private bathroom.

Aspectos positivos: Beautiful historic building with lovely views - extremely clean. Comfy beds, great breakfast and best location. We had single rooms with shared modern bathroom. Mostly shared with self and staff constantly cleaned. Rooms serviced daily / fresh towels. Very relaxed and safe / secure hotel.

Aspectos positivos: very central location on the main square of Salamina nicely renovated authentic historic building friendly and helpful staff (although only Spanish speaking)

Aspectos negativos: room seemed a bit stuffy, not much ventilation very limited sound isolation rather basic facilities

Aspectos positivos: Very good breakfast, with excellent Coffee. Very friendly staff. Newly renovated and exceptionally clean. Salamina is very worthwhile to visit!

Aspectos positivos: Everything. The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was great. Room and bathroom were clean. Beds very comfortabele. Location great. Would totally recommend!

Aspectos negativos: It was a little bit noisy, especially the church bells early in the morning. But they can’t do anything about that. Would definitely come back here!
