Aspectos positivos: What not? It is an amazing boutique hotel, at a wonderful and peaceful location, serving great food. The owners and staff were excellent.

A wonderful friendly place to stay in Guatape
Aspectos positivos: We loved staying here, it was really peaceful and the views wonderful. Felipe was an excellent host and made us feel very welcome (helped us with our Spanish too!). The restaurant food was excellent quality and we dined both nights here and sat under a lovely patio heater. A friendly dog hangs around looking for snacks! Rooms well laid out, big windows looking out to the gardens which a lot of the dinner veg comes from. We used the shuttle service back to Medellín airport for the 180,000 COP.
Aspectos negativos: These are minor points, and speaks a bit to our recent experiences in Medellín. A fridge in the room supplied two cokes and two waters which I had assumed were included. No price list was on display anywhere in the room. I should not have assumed, but it needs to be clearer that this is a paid minibar (and in which case made a little more extensive with some beers and other sodas) Also we asked for an extra cup of coffee (just a simple cafe con leche, not a fancy barista coffee) with our included breakfast and got charged extra for it at checkout. Given we have stayed in places far cheaper in Colombia that have provided free juice and coffee all day, this seemed a little unnecessary. Fine again if we are told it’s extra, but we only found out at checkout. The breakfast could be a little more generous generally with some fruit or juice included rather than just an egg dish (albeit freshly made) and one coffee. Finally, the WiFi is very hit and miss. This wasn’t a problem for us at all and we understand it’s the countryside with the challenges this brings. However if connectivity it’s important to you, you may want to take this into consideration before booking.

Perfect stay close to guatape and piedra del peñol
Aspectos positivos: Everything was perfect. It’s a very new and beautiful hotel with spectacular views of the Piedra del Peñol. The hosts are super super friendly and the food in the restaurant was by far the best we have had in Colombia. The room was very comfortable as well, we enjoyed the jacuzzi outside on the terrace. Plenty of hot water so no worries there. We didn’t see any mosquitos by the way. It is very easy and cheap to get to Guatapé and back to the hotel with tuk tuk or Uber. Don’t look any further and just book this hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Aspectos positivos: Perfect for couples Amazing view and the jacuzzi topped it off Food here was amazing both for breakfast and dinner. They cater to you and even bring the food up to your room. The staff here were incredibly helpful and kind. Any little questions we had, they were onto it asap. We had a very early flight and they were incredibly kind enough to have our breakfast sorted that morning. They provide reliable and quick transport to and from airport (recommended). I hope you all have the pleasure of meeting Felipe and his family when staying over at this gem of a place.

En dehors de l'agitation de Guatape
Aspectos positivos: Nous avions la chambre Merak, assez quelconque et sans charme particulier. Par contre, l'emplacement est idéal, loin de l'agitation de Guatape, avec une belle vue. Le jeune homme qui nous a accueilli et a été toujours présent pour nous aider, parle anglais et est remarquable de courtoisie. A souligner, la qualité des petits déjeuners, mais surtout, des dîners. Nous sommes restés 3 nuits, nous avons testé 5 plats principaux différents, viandes, poissons, tout était absolument délicieux.
Aspectos negativos: L'insonorisation des chambres peut poser problème si vous avez des voisins bruyants (paroles, TV), ce qui nous est arrivé 1 nuit sur 3.
