An excellent small hotel in one of Medellin's best neighborhoods

Aspectos positivos: The Laureles neighborhood is arguably the most pleasant, safest of the lower part of Medelln, and this hotel is located a few blocks from Nutibara Avenue and 70th street. The hotel itself was exceptionally clean and well-kept, and all of the staff were pleasant and helpful. The American-style breakfast included fresh orange juice, eggs, bacon, an arepa, yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal if desired, and coffee, tea or hot chocolate. The hotel also has a small swimming pool and jacuzzi.

Aspectos negativos: My only complaint about this stay has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but rather with Booking. I reserved through the Copa Airlines website and link, expecting to receive Connect Miles in conjunction with my stay. This didn't happen. I wrote to Booking about this, as the hotel charged me directly and told me to contact Booking for further information. There was no answer.

Excelent value anda very comfortable stay. Staff were helpful and accommodating.

Aspectos positivos: Great value for money in a great neighbourhood. Plenty of eating options nearby. Laureles hands down beats Problado. Breakfast was a good start to the day.

Aspectos negativos: Bed side light would have been good. Bit of a hike to metro station Estadio.

Aspectos positivos: It's a nice cozy place, an amazing pool. The staff is super friendly, the location is exceptional, close to restaurants, and bars.

Aspectos negativos: VAT wasn't included in the final price so it may take you by surprise, which is not nice. They should have transparency on the prices.

The kind of place you hate to leave

Aspectos positivos: Located in a nice, fairly quiet, mostly residential neighborhood, this hotel has a lot of little touches that enhance guests' comfort, including a ramp up to the door; a remarkably quick elevator; a big breakfast area; even a (small) swimming pool and sauna. Everything is modern and functional, including the AC. The breakfast was good and abundant. And all for a very reasonable price.

Aspectos negativos: Shortly after reserving, the hotel notified us that due to a gas outage in the vicinity, there would be no hot water. Since the weather was warm it hardly mattered, and we appreciated the notification.
