Aspectos positivos: A rare hotel with a distinct energy. There’s a subtle John Wick meets Intercontinental atmosphere — refined, controlled, powerful, yet never loud. The quality speaks through the details: materials, lighting, proportions. Everything feels intentional.

Beautiful new hotel at a stone’s throw from Poblado.

Aspectos positivos: Beautiful hotel at a great location. Staff, especially at the front desk, were super helpful and kind. Breakfast until 14. Nice bars in the area.

Aspectos negativos: Only (minor) point for improvement would be to be a little more generous on the breakfast (only one coffee, any extras being charged) and make sure some options don’t run out .

Recommended for someone looking to be close to the Poblado but in a quieter option, not right in the middle of the noise

Aspectos positivos: The location was very good, slightly outside the main poblado area so felt quiet but still walkable to main restaurants and nightlife. Everything was very clean, staff were always available for questions and bathroom was spacious.

Aspectos negativos: Breakfast is set up through the cafe downstairs, which means options are limited. You can only choose one dish and the rest is paid for. All the rooms face in to a main central area which means music and voices carry quite loudly, but this was shut off by 10/11 each night.

Aspectos positivos: Beautiful, stylish hotel in a great, safe area to explore Medellin and beyond. The staff were welcoming and helpful and particularly in the cafe/bakery. Delicious breakfasts and food generally. I’d highly recommend a stay here. Enjoy!

Aspectos negativos: The music in the restaurant on my first night was extremely loud. I could hear and feel the beat in my room! While I love music, that was a little bit much for resting after a long journey. Not many people there, so not sure who the music was for. That was a tiny thing and actually the next night was much quieter. I’d still recommend a stay here!

El mejor hotel en Medellin

Aspectos positivos: Espectacular diseño y ambiente. El personal muy amable. Y el desayuno es hasta las 2 pm. Definitivamente me volvería a hospedar en The Host.

An incredible value gem with a great staff, breakfast and location...book now!

Aspectos positivos: This is a hidden gem! First, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (BIG shoutout to Viviana; we want to adopt her!). The vibe of this hotel is just what we wanted: cool city meets comfortable charm. Great architecture and an open design bring the eternal spring outside, inside. The breakfast is delish and plentiful. On two of the four nights we spent here they prepared a small breakfast to go for us...no problem, just ask! The location in El Poblado is perfect: close to the park, surrounded by excellent restaurants all within walking distance (we are 66 and 69 years old in very good shape) or a quick cab. The walk to/from the Metro is likewise easy and quick (10 minutes). The value of this hotel cannot be beat; we met people staying at a US chain hotel who couldn't match half of the greatness of The Host. Stop reading this and book your stay!!

Aspectos negativos: To be honest and fair, the room (which is lovely and has a great feel/vibe) could be a bit larger. We know that is impossible; there are no moveable walls! But, taking the small sofa/loveseat out and replacing it with two smaller format chairs would open things up a bit and provide at least the illusion of extra space. There is also very little space to put clothing if you want to unpack. We figured it out by moving some decorative items around.
